Carving show

CARVING SHOW

To All our carving friends and clubs.
We regret to inform everyone that due to the Corona Virus we have decided to cancel The Quinte Woodcarving show and Competition. In 2021 we will be having the same purchase awards as this year and we will be allowing for carvings that were carved for this year’s show to be eligible to be enter in our show. This means that in our rules we have it that all carvings are to be carved within the one year of the show, Next year’s show will allow carvings that have been done within two years of the show.
On behalf of the Quinte Woodcarvers club we hope everyone stays healthy and safe and we will see you next year.

While not a carver myself, I have really enjoyed this show in the past and encourage everyone to attend. The inclusion of carver clubs from the edges of Quinte, (including Bobcaygeon and others) adds to the range of examples and show entries. The beautiful, extraordinary works on display by aspiring and world-class carvers are really amazing. I especially enjoy the wildlife carvings. Who knows, the show could even inspire spring and summer to get here more quickly ! This is a few hours well spent indeed – plan to attend with the whole family! Lyle Bunn, Brighton.

In 2016 there were a number of Youth entry carvings. However, I did not see any pictures or mention of them in the 2016 winners. I think having them included with the rest of the winners would be a great encouragement.
